Growing The Next Generation
To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, here are the success stories of three ex-apprentices that are still thriving within their various Benchmark job roles.
Jack (left) is currently working in the Key Accounts department looking after the larger Benchmark customers, making sure they receive all their materials on time, alongside working with the sales reps to bring in some new business. Further to this, he is also studying for a procurement degree, which is a CIPS qualifications.
Jason (centre) is responsible for all the Benchmark Marketing, which includes, strategy and campaign planning, maintaining/updating the website and keeping regular content on social media platforms. I am currently studying my foundation degree Level 4 in Digital Marketing with The Skills Company.
Tom (right) is the Romiley Operations Managers looking after the key operations of the branch. He will make sure that all stock levels are maintained and that all procedures are in place. He is studying a degree in Business Management with Staffordshire university.
As a business, we are keen to make sure that all our staff have an opportunity within the business and each employee has the right to build a better future.
Benchmark has previously been a ‘marriage bureau’, as we have introduced apprentices and college students to local builders. We have also arranged free or subsidised training via our partnerships with colleges and skill centres. More than 150 apprentices have been placed with local businesses through our involvement. We are very proud of our achievements with local people and our success with the apprentice schemes.
