On The Run For Charity
Our very own Stuart Wilkinson will be putting on his running shoes to take part in this years Manchester Half Marathon in aid of The Christie Charity.
Stuart, age 49, is a 12 year Benchmark veteran and for the last four years he has been the branch manager at our Irlam branch.
The half marathon takes place on May 28th, which starts at Deansgate in Manchester and will be a real test of Stuarts will power and overall fitness. He will be accompanied alongside his son Aaron, aged 25.
A quote from the man himself: “We will both be running to raise funds for the Christie where my partners dad is currently undergoing treatment. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible, but have set a target of £500”.
Since the start of the year Stuart has been keeping fit by running to the local chippy for all his Irlam staff on Fat Fridays. Further to this, he has been lifting 5 brews a day! Great effort Stu, keep it up mate!
In 2014, Stuart raised over £350 after running the Manchester 10k run, which he did in aid of The Alzheimer’s Charity.
